Plantation Pointe is a gated lake community located on the main channel of Lake Hickory, in Granite Falls, North Carolina. This community was developed in 2005 and consists of 99 parcels of land ranging from 1 to 2 acres. Many of these parcels are lake front. All parcels are currently owned by individuals. However, many property owners have not yet built their homes.

The Plantation Pointe Homeowner's Association (PPHOA) is a community based volunteer organization elected to the board by PP property owners who either live in Plantation Pointe or own property. The role of the PPHOA is to protect the value and aesthetics of the community by ensuring all residents and property owners abide by the restrictive covenants. All property owners are governed by the elected board of directors and are bound by restrictive covenants.
